On the 6th March 2020, our team members excitedly attended the New Zealand Volkswagen Dealer of the Year Awards.
This is an annual event where Volkswagen New Zealand recognises and rewards all-round excellence, celebrating achievements across the NZ dealer network at every level; Parts, Service, Finance, Passenger Sales, Commercial Sales and Marketing.
We are proud to say that we walked away with some amazing results this year from both our Hamilton and Taupo branches. Most notably, our Hamilton team were awarded the title as the Overall Volkswagen Dealer of the Year.
Ebbett Volkswagen Hamilton
- Overall Volkswagen Dealer of the Year
- Passenger Metro Dealer of the Year
- Passenger Sales Department of the Year
Ebbett Volkswagen Taupo
- Commercial Service Department of the Year
- Parts Department of the Year
The night was also the first outing since the Volkswagen brand re-fresh, which includes a revised brand logo soon to be launched. The evolution of the Volkswagen brand was on display and you could walk by ‘Volkswagen in the ages’ – which was especially complimented by the heritage venue that it was in, the grand Auckland Town Hall. Another highlight of the evening was watching and listening to the host of the evening, Hilary Barry. She guided the evening with humor and a true understanding of the Volkswagen community.
It was a great feeling to be recognised for all of our achievements over the past year. Thank you to all of our customers who made this possible for us.
Amarok. NZ ute of the year. Sweet as.
The Volkswagen Amarok has taken away the 2018 AA Driven NZ Ute of the Year award on top of wining 2018 International Ute of the Year.
“Kiwis no longer see the ute as a work horse, instead it takes pride of place in the garage as the family vehicle, so it’s up to manufacturers to meet the needs and Volkswagen has done this in spades with the Amarok. Not only does it have superb handling but European styling inside and out while introducing the most powerful V6 diesel engine in its class.”
